Bakiga Nation
Bio
Founded in 2015, Bakiga Nation is a cultural movement and social impact platform dedicated to celebrating and preserving the heritage of the Bakiga people. Over the past decade, we’ve grown into a nationally recognized brand with over 45,000 cumulative event attendees of 16 editions to-date, 80,000+ engaged followers across social media, and more than 1 million annual digital impressions. Our audience is primarily made up of youth and young professionals aged 18–35, who make up 72% of our community, with the remaining 28% spanning older cultural custodians like our parents, grandparents etc, diaspora members, and community leaders. Geographically, 75% of our audience is based across key towns in Uganda, including Kampala, Mbarara, Kabale, Fort Portal, and Gulu, while 25% hail from the diaspora in countries such as the UK, USA, Dubai, China, East Africa, South Africa, and Nigeria. From campus activations reaching over 20,000 students to our flagship Rukundo Egumeho festival, we offer a powerful platform for partners seeking meaningful engagement with a loyal, culturally rooted, and impact-driven audience.
