AusTebza-The Groove Queen

AusTebza, one of SA’s leading bass players in the music industry is a talent that cannot be disputed. She has spent over 2 decades of her career as a session bass player for some of South Africa’s top superstars. However, this is not all there is to her. AusTebza, whose real name is Tebogo Sedumedi, has managed to successfully carve her space as a songwriter, vocalist and music director. Some of her accolades include, composing songs for popular bands and artists such as The Muffins; playing bass for over 10 years for the late Hip Hop Pantsula and commissioned as a music director for the Mbokotho Awards and the Nelson Mandela Foundation. She has also had her music played on tv shows such as Isidingo.

In 2015, AusTebza released her debut album entitled Make a Difference, which was received incredibly well by her fast growing fan base and industry vets. Her perseverance as an independent artist has earned her national and international tours, as well as invitations to perform at the 2019 Joy of Jazz and the 2020 Cape Town Jazz Festival. AusTebza is the epitome of what it means to break beyond boundaries and make a name for oneself as an independent creative.
