A’mosi Just A Label it’s an existential way of a being that disqualifies himself being seen as a name. A posture assumed by this individual who according to the human regency. is an artist from Angola.
He was born in Uige (Wizi) to Bazombo parents, Fernando Tanzi and Elisa Tana.
His sub ethnical-group is located in the northern Angola.
He came to be known with his Ep signed as Jack Nkanga; Ep released in 2014 by his indie label Konono Soul Music. A project whose single Redentor was nominated in the top of Rádio Luanda 2013, and in 2014 won the same top with the single Arts & Crafts.
He was later nominated for the Angola Music Awards, having won the Le Reve Africain award in France in 2016.
His most recent album is “Konono Soul” where he proposes Konono Soul as a music genre. A sound that combines traditional Zombo, Pop, Electronic and Ambient Sounds, etc. That gives it a soulful vocal projection and some wavy color gradations.
This album was the album of the week on RDP- Africa and in 2022, it was in the Top A3.30 of Antena 3 in Portugal for more than 6 months.
Konono Soul, is derived from Bazombo (Konono), a particular musical genre of this sub ethnical-group belonging to the Bakongo ethnic group, located to the north of Angola, between Damba and Makela Ma Zombo.
A'mosi considers himself common and an heir of nature like everyone else, taking advantage of the universal artistic heritage he found to express himself under the idea of unity, thus showing the human race that we are.
He tries to help himself and others to understand and respect life naturally, to enjoy natural freedom, to celebrate life and live eternal happiness starting with reflection and intuitive positive actions about life within the good collective order.
A’mosi Just A Label is also the founder of the agency, Konono Soul Arts, a curatorship, promotion and innovation structure, which is responsible for the Multidisciplinary and International Festival Ntwala Oh Yeah! which premiered on June 2, 3 and 4, 2023.
Ntwala Oh Yeah! is an encounter between the performing arts, Music, Dance, Literature, Visual Arts and Spoken Word. Plus Book Launches, Talks, Workshops, Networking and Tourism.
