Call for applications: Wits School of Arts 2020 postgraduate bursaries
The Wits School of Arts in South Africa (WSOA) is calling on postgraduate students studying towards an arts degree to apply for a bursary.
The Arts Research Africa Postgraduate Bursary is courtesy of the Andrew W Mellon Foundation in the US and will be awarded by the WSOA. It is intended for students who wish to study in any arts discipline such as music and drama.
The bursaries will be awarded as follows:
- Honours degrees: Two bursaries for 2020 – R90 000 each (full time).
- Master’s degrees: Four bursaries for 2020 – R100 000 each (full time).
- Doctoral degree: One bursary for 2020 – R130 000 (full time).
The bursary is also available for students who are studying part-time. In the case of successful part-time applicants, the bursary will be split over two years.
