Bio
DJ Tears PLK Biography
Phillip Amos Manaka (born 01 November 1995) famously known as DJ Tears PLK, is a
self-taught record producer, vocalist, songwriter, and DJ from Seshego, Polokwane.
He developed a love for house music from the primary school age of 12.
DJ Tears PLK went on to work with industry giants (such as Kaylow, House Victimz Tiffany
Rosebud, Rona Ray, Chymamusique). Two of his songs were selected by Tim White and featured
in the Metro FM Awards-nominated house compilation: House Afrika Session 5.
DJ Tears PLK music is recognized by South African music legends like Vinny Da Vinci, Lulo Cafe,
Lamize, DJ Fresh, DJ Ganyani, Chymamusique just to name a few. 2021 his song “I’ll Make You
Mine” he became a backround song for Dia Roropa show by DJ Lovers SA. And later on he
became a resident DJ on Diaroropa Lockdown Mix show in Lesedi FM, one of the top SABC
Radio station in South Africa.
