Haezer

Bio

As one of the top exports of the SA electronic dance scene, Haezer (aka Ebenhaezer Smal) has established himself as a leader in the bass-heavy electro genre which has gained widespread popularity in dance clubs around the world. Haezer originates from Cape Town and has been producing his signature ‘trash/electro’ sound since late 2008. With his maxim ‘Commercial Music is Dead’, Haezer has travelled the world promoting the underground.

In 2012 he released his 6-track EP, 'The Wrong Kid Died', on Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak Records. The single ‘Troublemaker’ featured in the popular video game Need For Speed: Rivals. In November 2012 he released his first UK single 'Two Face’ on house label Birth Records. Haezer completed a two- month Europe tour playing nine festivals and various club shows at legendary venues like Razzmatazz (Barcelona), Gretchen (Berlin) and Mistral (Aix-en-Province). With numerous tours to Australia and Europe, remixes for a host of international acts and two top 30 Electro House singles on Beatport, Haezer is proving to be an artist worth keeping an eye on. His second EP on Dim Mak, titled 'Gold Plated Frequencies', was put out in late 2013.
