Tanzania Heritage Project

The Tanzania Heritage Project is an initiative created to promote and preserve Tanzania's vibrant music and culture, especially through its archives.

Started in 2012 to help preserve and promote the rich history of Tanzanian music, by digitalising outdated copies of reel-to-reel tapes that were held at Radio Tanzania, or in private collections. The primary aim of THP is to render vibrant Tanzanian music available to all generations, before it is too late to retrieve it.
