Nyali Muzik

Founded in 2010 by KBG (real name Kelvin Before Gumbi), Nyali Muzik is a recording studio in Lilongwe, Malawi. Nyali is a Chewa word that means “Lamp”. The studio is well-known for promoting the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is a production house that has become popular for recording and producing gospel music. Its management team is made up of Tammy (Managing-Planning), Alfie (Manager-Operations), KBG (Founding Artist) and Given (Producer).

Besides gospel music, the studio has employed other music genres. Such genres include hip-hop, pop and RnB. The idea is to spearhead its goals of recording and producing good quality music meant for the Christian urban music scene.

Since its inception, Nyali Muzik has done music projects not only for artists in Malawi but it has extended its services to musicians in countries such as Botswana, Uganda and Kenya. Locally, it has recorded and produced for musicians such as Jeremiah, Liwu, KBG, Young B and Samuel.

In July 2015, it released a video which fused hip-hop and Afro-pop genres. The video was directed by Dorris Mvula and produced by Dj Traffic.

Apart from spreading the gospel through music, the studio is working on a project that will see the launch of a website that will feature articles and opinions from Christians.
