Paxton

Bio

Who is she? Paxton Fielies, the young 20 year old from Bishops Lavis in Cape Town,
captured the hearts and minds of Idols viewers across South Africa in
2017, when she went on to win the coveted title.
This determined young songstress exceeded fans expectations when
she went on to drop 3 number 1 singles, an album and tour
internationally within her first year of being in the industry.
The Music: This sassy young businesswoman is insistent to break the typical Idol
winner stigma, and has spent her reigning year breaking markets most
fail to break in a lifetime. Her fierce passion for her music and craft was
shown when she insisted on co-writing her own album. She has
surrounded herself with top musicians in the industry to formulate a tight
music team, to assist in getting her music across to the commercial
market. In 2018, she has dominated the South African charts, firstly with
a smash hit collaboration “Smother”. She teamed up with “The Voice”
winner, Craig Lucas, and the song went number 1 nationwide on radio
and streaming sites. She then went on to release “Angifuni” off of her
album, “This Is Me”, in May 2018. The song is still charting across the
country in November 2018. When it comes to performing, she is
superbly versatile, bouncing from a smooth and spine chilling ballads, to
dancy pop numbers, such as her hit debut single “Demonstrate”. 2020 saw her collaborate with producer Jaydon Lewis, in her catchy song “Good Company”. The song did wonders locally and internationally, even ending up on The Chainsmokers Spotify playlist. Throughout Lockdown, the young songstress focussed on writing and cannot wait to leash “Undeniable” to the public.
International Traction: 2018 saw Paxton hit the International scene immediately, with a
performance as part of the World Children’s Fund in Sweden, and
receiving an ambassadorship from Queen Silvia of Sweden. She then
went on to perform at The White Nights of St Petersburg, sharing the
stage with the likes of Seal, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Kool and The
Gang. 2019 she went into preparations for Musexpo in Los Angeles,
where she performed for some of the biggest names in the Global
Industry. May 2019 see’s her return to Sweden to perform once again
for the Queen, and continue her work as the “You, Me: Equal Rights
Ambassador”. She is also excited to head off to India in August, as a
UNESCO Ambassador of Kindness.
