In the first quarter of 2019, Gerrvd released his debut album titled 'Energy'. The mixed bag album had breakout hits such as “Anopenga” and the title track 'Energy, which saw him raise his profile to new levels.

Leaning on the success of his debut album, Gerrvd released an emotion evoking single, Paulina, that he described as “something most guys have thought of”. The single released on the 1st of August 2019 has risen to unimaginable heights, landing itself on Spotify’s coveted editorials playlists (African Heat & Peppeh). Since its release, Paulina has amassed over 400k streams on all platforms with listeners from over 81 countries.
