Pa Omar Jack
Bio
Pa Omar Jack is an ndaga singer from the Gambia with a group called Jeff Jell. His first single 'Jigueni Gambia' was released in 2005.
After some difficulty, he recorded the songs 'Fandeeh' and 'Guestu Len' with the assistance of Sunland Studios, Yellowgate Studios and Kebba Taylor. Both songs were hits.
Soon after, he appeared on television, and his career took off as he recorded soundtracks for commercials. His debut album ‘Niniyo' (2007) was released shortly afterwards. It discussed stigmatisation that people with HIV have to live with.
The album also featured the hit 'Fish n Chips', 'Aduna', 'Moi Me', 'Leumbal Saye', 'Nuyoo', 'Nice to be Nice'. The producer Papis Konateh, Wole Rendal, and Kebba Taylor received production credit on the album.
