Sena Dagadu
Bio
Sena Dagadu, of Ghanaian-Hungarian descent, is a singer-songwriter. Also known as a poet, she has incorporated some Shakespeare in her work.
Compared to Marcia Griffiths, Neneh Cherry, and Nina Simone, Sena released her first album ‘First One’ in 2003 and since then has done work in several genres including hip-hop, reggae. Her solo sophomore, ‘Lots of Trees’, was released in 2013 by Universal (Hungarian division).
She has collaborated with ‘abstract hip-hop producer’ DJ Vadim on a couple of projects, the latest being ‘Grow Slow’. She is also the singer for Hungarian band Irie Maffia.
