By Goitsmang Kemp and Lebogang Masilela
Nigerian artist and producer Young Jonn has released the official music video for ‘2Factor’, his collaboration with Asake and Focalistic.
Asake, Focalistic and Young John.
The video, filmed in Johannesburg, accompanies the track from Young Jonn’s album Blue Disco. It presents scenes of nightlife and urban culture, reflecting the song’s themes of social connection and entertainment.
Since its release in November 2025, ‘2Factor’ has recorded more than 208 million streams across digital platforms. The track has charted on services including Apple Music, Spotify and Shazam, and is currently performing in more than 20 countries, including Nigeria, Ghana, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates.
The video release follows a live performance by the three artists at the Gold Rush Dome, where they performed the track together for the first time since its release. The set also included the song ‘Che Che’.
“Nigerian and South African collaborations are not a new thing; they’ve been around for quite a while now,” Young Jonn said. “It’s culture. Us being able to work amongst ourselves really shows how important winning together is for us. Regardless of the genres we’re in, we still manage to join forces and come up with something magical.”
The video was directed by Larnelle Bakala. It draws on the concept of two-factor authentication as a metaphor for nightlife experiences, with scenes set across various locations in Johannesburg.
Young Jonn, whose real name is John Saviours Udomboso, first gained recognition as a producer, working on tracks such as ‘Shakiti Bobo’ by Olamide and ‘Mafo’ by Naira Marley. He has since transitioned into a recording artist, collaborating with acts including Davido, Tiwa Savage and Kizz Daniel.
The release of ‘2Factor’ adds to a growing catalogue of cross-border collaborations between Nigerian and South African artists, reflecting ongoing links between the two music markets.
