Award-winning Nigerian artist Mo Eazy has unveiled his latest single, ‘Teriba’, a soulful, introspective track that blends African spirituality with messages of resilience and self-belief.

Released ahead of his upcoming EP Ibẹrẹ, ‘Teriba’ stands as a compelling statement in its own right. The title, meaning “to surrender” in Yoruba, reflects the central theme of trusting in a higher power rather than surrendering to defeat.
“‘Teriba’ is a reminder that you don’t always need to have it all figured out,” Mo Eazy said. “Sometimes the most powerful move is surrender — not in defeat, but in trust.”
Produced by Zimbabwean-born hitmaker Sabroso (Prosper Mangoma), the single fuses West and Southern African sonic textures, making it accessible across both spiritual and mainstream Afrobeats audiences. Its lyrical depth and melodic richness speak to listeners navigating uncertainty — offering a moment of reflection, empowerment, and spiritual grounding.
“When I wrote ‘Teriba’, I was in a space of quiet introspection,” Mo Eazy said. “It came from real moments of uncertainty — but also from deep faith that there’s something greater guiding us.”
With its warm instrumentation, affirming message, and cross-cultural appeal, ‘Teriba’ is already resonating with audiences in South Africa and across the continent, where music and faith remain intertwined pillars of cultural identity.
The track also sets the thematic tone for Mo Eazy’s forthcoming EP Ibẹrẹ, a project that will explore African heritage, identity, and spiritual rebirth. However, ‘Teriba’ makes a bold, timely impact as a standalone release.
He added: “Whether it’s joy, struggle, or growth, ‘Teriba’ captures the moment when you choose to keep going, not by force, but by faith.”
