Ghana Music Awards UK names winners

The winners of the Ghana Music Awards UK were announced at a 16 September ceremony.

The night’s top award, Artist of the Year, was won by Shatta Wale. Such acts as Sarkodie, Ebony and Willis Beatz were also winners. Stonebwoy took the award for Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year.
The event saw performances from Sherifa Guru, Kwamz & Flava and others.
Vodafone Ghana Music Award’s Artist of the Year, gospel artist Joe Mettle, also won the Gospel Artist of the Year award, and Kofi Kinaata was named winner of the Song of the Year award for the song ‘Confession’.
