
Ghana: Kweku Flick and Beeztrap KOTM share new singles
Ghanaian singer Kweku Flick today announced a new single titled ‘Rastaman’. The record, which tackles societal prejudices against individuals with dreadlocks and those associated with Rastafarian culture, is available for streaming and download on all major digital platforms.

Kweku Flick, hailing from Asante Mampong, trades in a unique blend of hiplife, hip hop and trap which is influenced by highlife and palm wine music rhythms.
‘Rastaman’ reflects the artist’s personal journey and resilience in the face of stereotypes and assumptions about his lifestyle. Produced by Ghanaian Stallion, renowned for producing Black Sherif’s ‘First Sermon’ and ‘Second Sermon’, the track combines melodic trap beats with a strong drill influence, incorporating reggae elements and impactful drums.
Kweku Flick’s notable achievements include the successful EP King of Melodies and his acclaimed song ‘Money,’ which won him the Hip Hop Song of the Year at the 2020 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
At the same time, another Ghanaian hip hop artist named Beeztrap KOTM has released a new song called ‘I Like’. The track, featuring Skyface SDW, is available for streaming and download on all major digital platforms.
Thematically, the song revolves around the uncontrollable attraction one feels towards a love interest. It was produced by Dabbeatz.
Beeztrap KOTM, originally from Cape Coast in the Central Region, discovered his passion and talent for music at a young age, starting with playing drums at 12 and singing at 13. He began sharing his music on YouTube in 2018, starting with his debut song ‘Abrabo Ye Hard’. Subsequently, he released ‘Distance Relationship’ in 2021, followed by ‘By Grace’ in 2022, and ‘Cinderella’ earlier this year.
