
Call for scores: Baritone compositions in the US
New York-based music organisation Vox Novus is calling on composers around the world to submit one-minute scores for its Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame project with baritone Andrew White, which will premiere online on 17 July.

Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame takes the format of 15 one-minute acoustic works by different composers for a specific performer or ensemble. The project gives a variety of new music by living composers to audiences hungry to hear what is being created in today’s music scene.
Guidelines
- Works are for baritone with or without electronic accompaniment.
- No works over one minute will be reviewed.
- Works should be composed specifically for this call and performers.
- All pieces must be premieres.
- Multiple submissions are not accepted. Composers are encouraged to send their best work.
- Works can be submitted online here.
- Composers should first register with Music Avatar for free to submit their work online.
- After logging in to Music Avatar, composers should select the opportunity named Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame featuring baritone Andrew White and press the submit button to start the submission process.
- Composers need to provide a biography (max 50 words) and programme notes (max 50 words).
- Composers should upload a score as a PDF file.
- Composers must include the dedication to Andrew White on the score.
- Performance notes should be included in the score.
The submission deadline is 14 May and the results will be announced via the Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame website.
The Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame project has featured more than 75 musicians and ensembles premiering the works of over 1 000 composers in New York. The project has presented works across the US and 10 other countries.
