Call for entries: Video and performance works by queer artists
Homografía / Homography (HH) festival is accepting entries for video and performance works ahead of the seventh edition in Brussels, Belgium, in October.
The event is a video and performance festival for queer artists. It programmes highly suggestive visual compositions, cinematographic poetry, installations, and performances that evoke identity, gender and the relationship between body and artistic expression.
The selected works will be shown in projections or installations in Brussels and potentially be part of future editions of the HH festival in Mexico.
Eligibility
HH 2021 accepts entries from artists aged 18 and older, regardless of gender, ethnic background, nationality or country of residence. The following are the categories:
- Music videos
- Video art
- Video performance
- Experimental
- Animation
- Fiction
- Documentary
Requirements
Entrants should:
- Ensure that the entry is not more than 30 minutes.
- Ensure that the entry was produced in the last three years.
- Include a 90-word synopsis and a .jpg image (1MB max).
- Include English subtitles for non-English entries.
- Include a short biography or CV of the author(s).
Note: HH reserves the right to use the selected works, or fragments, strictly for the festival’s promotional purposes.
How to apply
- Entrants in the video category can submit their works here. Selected entrants will be required to re-submit their works in high resolution, MOV or AVI formats.
- Entrants in the performance category can submit their works here. Selected entrants will travel to Brussels during the festival days in October.
The application deadline is 30 May.
