ACCES partners Zim’s Star FM ahead of 2024 edition in Rwanda
The partnership will see the Star FM team travelling to the pan-African music trade show to broadcast the conference, live to a vast African audience, promoting the continent’s vibrant music industry and fostering growth. ACCES provides a platform for industry professionals from across Africa and around the globe to connect and collaborate through workshops, conference sessions, networking spaces, exhibitions, live music shows, and more.
The partnership demonstrates the transformative impact of collaboration in the African music industry. As a premier music trade event, ACCES is dedicated to fostering business opportunities, networking, and capacity building for music professionals. It seeks to create a platform for the African music industry to converge, connect, and thrive, driving economic growth, and facilitating cultural exchange across the continent.
“Well, many in the Zimbabwe music industry say ‘Zimbabwe music to the world’, and what an opportunity this is,” Star FM head of programming Steve Vickers told Music In Africa. “Star FM is the biggest champion of Zimbabwean music, and we are delighted to have this partnership with MIAF to have a presence at ACCES, to represent Zimbabwe at the conference, and to interact with the music industry experts, artists and delegates there.”
Broadcasting ACCES will showcase African talent to a broader audience, opening up new opportunities for artists and industry professionals while Star FM increasing its listenership and influence by tapping into a broader African audience. Additionally, the development will open up new opportunities for artists and industry professionals and elevate Star FM’s reputation as a champion of the African music industry.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Star FM ahead of this year’s ACCES,” Music In Africa Foundation executive director Eddie Hatitye said. “This collaboration will not only amplify the event’s reach but also provide a platform for industry professionals and African artists to shine. We’re confident that this partnership will take ACCES and Star FM to new heights and create unforgettable experiences for the African music industry.”
