Zimsto eRoofini

Zimkhitha Ntebe, affectionately known as Zimsto eRoofini, is a multi-talented artist who hails from the township of Gqeberha, KwaZakhele in the Eastern Cape. 

Zimsto is famous for her energy filled performances as a singer, dancer, actress and storyteller. Her artistic talents extend to more behind the scenes role such as songwriting, composing and producing. Her love for music and performing started from a very young and tender age. Thus, music has always been part of her life, introduced to her through a djembe, dancing at traditional ceremonies and performances at church.

She then decided to come to Cape Town in 2022 to study how to produce music at the Bridges Academy for music , at this point she had already dicersed to a different sounds which included indegonous instruments like uHadi and Imbira also at the Academy she then collaborated with local and international producers and one of them is Cioz .

Zimsto is an entertainer, a crowd entertainer as she braces the stage with her energetic presence , also a storyteller 

To her ,the art of storytelling was sparked by the oral traditional stories called 'iintsomi', told to her by her parents, who are from rural Transkei. She wanted to keep this important tradition alive for future generatins and added this to her performance acts. Using instruments, voices and songs, she has delivered captivating musical African stories to her audiences of all age groups.  

Throughout the years she formed, led and choreographed dance groups. She moved on and started writing and performing her own music, with entry point being dance music.  She has curtain raised for artists such as Black Coffee, Amanda Black, Simphiwe Dana, Kwesta, The Soil and Kora X Tulwana.

Never one to shy away from expanding her horizons and showing her versatility, she was the MC at the 2019 Mamelafestival and was in the top 6 of the Imilonji competition , she has been selected to lead artist , handle logistics in big productions such as the MBTC in the Eastern Cape , Public speaker and lifestyle coach to young minds

• 6 months music courseat the CMI college in Cape Town 2021. 
• In 2022, graduated from Bridges Academy 6 months course program of MBA. 
• She has co-written a poetry book under the Red Location Cultural Precinct 2022. 
• 2023 she has written stories for foundation phase under the Red Location Cultural Precinct. 
• She experience as a radio personality,  stage presence coach and imbeko sessions Founder.
• Radio personality for Radio Astro ( IAU Conference @ the CICC )
• Sync deal with pioneer for their social media add for their name change to Alpha Thetha and introducin their new equipment 
• Introduced storytelling at the MBAF ( Mandela Bay Arts Festival 2024 )
