YunLi Lethabo
Bio
YunLi Lethabo was born Lethabo Thobejane (Motswako / Hiphop). She is a 20 year old Law Student & Motswako Rapper.
She grew up in a small village called Moshate, and sadly, at the age of 10, she lost her dad, whom she looked up to for inspiration. This inspired her to sing Chance to Heaven.
Her mom raised her even through hardships and trials during her upbringing. She started loving hip hop music during her Grade 5 studies but got to take this journey serious during her Grade 8 in 2018, inspired by Lyrical Wa Motlokwa & Fifi Cooper.
Why Music
She wants to continue speaking on behalf of those who are voiceless, those who are not represented, and those who are oppressed to voice their concerns in society. She voices out about subjects that are swept under the carpet, like poverty, GBV & injustice facing those unfortunate people in our Societies.
In her songs, she is trying to show those who are going through dark days that there's always a way out, and they must just remain patient as their turn will come. She also advice them not to give even when they fall they must stand up and try again She has performed and shared stage with some of the industry’s finest like Zanda Zakuza, King Monada, PHB’s Finest, Mack Eaze, Jobe London, Nokwazi
