Yebo! Art and Design

Founded in February 2011, Yebo! Art and Design is a contemporary art gallery and workspace that provides education and a platform for local artists. It was created to provide a platform for established artists in the country and to assist new artists and artisans in finding their own creative vision and sense of design. Through their ‘Artreach’ work (a non-profit wing of the gallery) the Yebo facilitators provide visual arts skills training to different groups in Swaziland. Lucky Mlotsa, an independent artist and musician, holds his ‘Stick in Mud’ gallery in his house in Lobamba and offers free art classes from his house. Besides his work in the visual arts, Mlotsa also runs a musical and dance ensemble.

In addition to specific projects, ArtReach continues to work with businesses, schools and individuals in Swaziland offering services in skills-training, innovative team-building, outreach work, creative consultancy, public art initiatives and commissioned projects.
