YAH LISTEN

Samuel Mbugua Kamau also known as YAH LISTEN is an artist, music producer, DJ and pianist born and based in Nairobi, Kenya. He first discovered music at the early age of 9 and ever since his passion for music led him to pursue his career professionally.

After completing his degree in Audio & Video Production from Daystar University (2021), he pursued a certificate course in Advanced Music Production from Santuri Electronic Music Academy. Thereafter, he began his career as a pianist and instrumentalist playing for different bands and artists i.e. Maya Amolo, Mau from Nowhere, King Kerby, Mr. LU*, XPRSO, Razor Man, Iyanah Kiragu, Maali, Kagwe Mungai, Meryl Paige etc. 

During that period, he also build rapport with some artists that sparked his production career as well working with artists i.e. EL CHI, Maya Amolo, Brian Muok, XPRSO, Lukorito, Andyah, Razor Man, Kayrop, STILL HATARI, DJ Mura, Big Nyagz, Coster Ojwang, Ywaya Tajiri and many more.

Later in 2024, he joined forces with STILL HATARI to officially launch SUNWAV Records releasing their first single 'Badda Dan Most' featuring artists Eleven Euwami & JT Bulinda. Other projects released was the first album 'SUNWAVMANIA' and 'Eleven Express' by Eleven Euwami.
