Wishingsoul

Wishingsoul (born Sfiso Netshandama on 10 February 1989) is an artist from Pretoria.

He developed the love for House Music in 2007 when a friend by the name of Duncan Koketso Maltjie introduced him to the fine arts of Dj'ying. In 2008 He moved to the Vaal where he started to push his Dj'ying career, however in late 2008, he took a Break from Dj'ying in the quest to improve his connections and sources in the music world. He came back early 2009 as one of fast and Rising DJ to introduce fresh beats and he then became a force worth noticing. In 2010 he and his friends formed a youth entertainment company called TJK Entertainment whose aim is to combat issues that affect the youth through music. Over the year the brand TJK grew into something we were and still are proud of and played a big role in what we are today.

Wishingsoul is also known for his worldwide mixes that were titled Food for the Soul. Through these mixes saw him, building an audience local and abroad. Late 2011 saw Jaguar Paw offering him a chance to release a compilation under Deepforest SAever since he has been growing as brand in the local market. 2013 became the year were Deepforest SA as a label gave him a chance to tell his story through a compilation titled" Jungle Fever Vol.1".

Jungle Fever Vol.1 was one of those rare home-brewed productions. It showcased the talent of SA very young and promising producers, the likes of Darque famously known for his hit Differences released under Andy Compton's PENG label and Inhliziyo Yam' which was on Jaguar Paw's Deepforest Sessions Vol.1. This Compilation also include the ever so funky Dj Fortee , the deep sounds orientated Lele X , the rising deep tech guru 'Roque' , the talented duo 'Antique' , the sound general 'Muskidd' , the wonder kid ' Landy' . This Compilation also included voices of Kaylow, Damon, Denny Dugg, Rethabile, Yasmeen Seydi, and Kenny Allen

The compilation had dance floors buzzing with excitement. Wishingsoul has been all over the country and has share stage with the big names in and out of the country. He also travelled and played in neighbouring countries being Botswana, Swaziland, Lesotho & Namibia. 2016 saw wishingsoul being employeed as a resident dj at the most popular club in the Vaal Called Vaal Monateng Cafe . you can Catch him there every friday and saturdays .
