Wiky Neva

Bio

Mpenda Bennett Kheswa, known as Wiky Neva, is a South African Afropop and Lekompo artist whose voice echoes with raw emotion and cultural depth. Born in the Free State and raised in Qwa Qwa, where he also attended school, Wiky’s journey has always been rooted in a love for storytelling and sound. Now based in Limpopo, he performs entirely in Sesotho, using his music to express what words often cannot.

His signature tagline, “Buwa Kheswa Bua!”, opens nearly every track he creates. More than a catchphrase, it’s a personal stamp—a call for honesty, power, and self-expression. The phrase has become so loved that fans shout it when they see him, recognizing the voice and soul behind the words before anything else.

Wiky made his first major impact in 2025 with Mkhaya, a breakout track by Tribby Wadi Bhozza that featured his unforgettable voice. That moment marked a turning point—he became part of the Lekompo family, and suddenly, everyone knew the name Wiky Neva.

His music is often compared to the late Malome Vector, and even Malome once told him: “If people think you’re me, it means you’re going far.” But Wiky is carving his own path, one song at a time.

His latest release, Tsa Marato with KaTee, dives into the pain of betrayal, based on real heartbreak—an experience of being trapped in a love where someone refused to choose. His storytelling is vulnerable, his sound unforgettable.

Wiky doesn’t just make music—he tells stories people live through. And in time, they always fall in love with the man behind the voice.
