Wezzmatic, popularly known as DJ Wezz, is a visionary artist, producer, and cultural influencer born and raised in Nkowankowa, Limpopo. A trailblazer in the Tsonga Rap movement, he played a pivotal role in shaping the genre and giving it a platform through his independent label, Wezzmatic Records. The label introduced and nurtured influential voices such as Mavraga, King Zotche, and Killa P, cementing his legacy as a pioneer who opened doors for the new generation of artists.

Under Wezzmatic Records, he produced and released notable hits including “Unwana Waka Mani”, “Jerusalema”, and “We Still Believe” (featuring Mashabela). These projects resonated widely, showcasing his ability to blend authentic local sounds with mainstream appeal. His collaborations reflect his versatility and dedication to the growth of African music.

Beyond music, Wezzmatic has consistently invested in personal growth and leadership. In 2024, he graduated with a BCom in Project Management, a milestone that expanded his influence within the entertainment industry. This achievement led him to take on significant roles, including Project Manager at the Sello Maake KaNcube Foundation, where he combined artistry with strategic project leadership. That same year, he established Mamafa Project Management, further bridging the gap between creative industries and professional business practices.

In 2025, while pursuing his Honours in Project Management, DJ Wezz returned to the studio with renewed energy, collaborating with leading producers such as The IV Minister. This new chapter marks not just a return to his musical roots but also the evolution of a multifaceted artist and leader who continues to inspire through both his art and his vision.
