Bio

Wahu Kiragu is a musician, educator, researcher, and entrepreneur transforming Africa's creative economy. As Founder and CEO of IPWorth, she helps creatives turn talent into bankable assets through standardized IP valuation, and monetisation.

Under her leadership, IPWorth developed IPTHAMANI —

IPTHAMANI

Africa's Valuation, Pricing & Licensing Infrastructure for Creative IP

IPTHAMANI is the first AI-powered platform built specifically for the African creative economy, transforming intangible creative work into quantifiable financial assets with data-backed valuations, professional rate cards, and licensing intelligence.

Built by IPWorth Ltd for musicians, filmmakers, content creators, and the brands that work with them.

The Problem

African creatives operate in a pricing vacuum:

  • No standardized reference points for what to charge
  • Brand deals negotiated on guesswork and power imbalances
  • IP routinely undervalued or exploited due to information asymmetry
  • Traditional IP valuations cost $5,000–$50,000 USD and take weeks

Result: Brilliant creative work monetized at a fraction of its true worth.

The Solution: IPTHAMANI Intelligence Suite

A self-service digital platform that delivers instant, comprehensive IP intelligence:

1. IP Valuation Report

Preliminary valuation figures calculated using global standards adapted for African market realities, contextualized for:

  • Collateral for financing and investor pitches
  • Negotiation baselines for licensing and partnerships
  • M&A positioning and asset transactions
  • Legal documentation for IP protection cases

2. AI-Powered Rate Card Calculator

Data-driven pricing recommendations across:

  • Performance fees and appearances
  • Licensing rates (sync, mechanical, master use)
  • Collaboration and production fees
  • Brand partnerships and endorsements
  • Usage rights and derivative works

3. Strategic IP Monetization Insights

Actionable intelligence identifying high-value assets, untapped revenue channels, and growth opportunities.

4. IP Readiness Assessment

Diagnostic scoring showing how investment-ready and monetization-ready creative portfolios are today.

5. AI-Powered Licensing Guidelines

Customized licensing frameworks with rights management best practices, usage templates, and industry-standard contractual considerations.

Delivery: Comprehensive PDF reports generated in minutes. Accessible via web and mobile.

Our Methodology: Global Standards. African Context.

IPTHAMANI combines internationally recognized valuation frameworks with our proprietary Cultural Context Premium—a breakthrough methodology that quantifies the economic power of African cultural resonance, local market dominance, and Pan-African reach.

Where other tools discount African IP or ignore local dynamics, we ensure African identity becomes a financial multiplier, not a markdown.
