Vibemo

Vibemo is a kwaito music group from Manzini, Swaziland. The group started off as a quartet before taking a break from the music industry because they wanted to focus on their careers outside music. Before taking a three-year hiatus, they released an album 2007.

In 2011, the group came back with only two members namely Bheki and Vice Nkambule. They made their first appearance in three years during Lwazi Mngometulu’s album launch which was held at Oshoek. The launch of the album called ‘Kwaito Journey’ was marked as the resurrection of kwaito by both Vibemo and Lwazi.

In May 2011, they released an album titled ‘We Are Going Far’. The album received recognition through a music video called ‘Move’. The video was on several times screened on the country’s sole television station, Swazi TV. ‘Chorus Leader’ is another song which made the album popular. The song is a narrative of a Christian chorus leader who is caught dancing in a night club.

The duo has worked with popular artists such as Slim Q and DJ Flex.
