Tshepo Moreothata

Pastor Tshepo Desmond Moreothata was born in Kimberley on 22 April 1979 into a family of six. Tshepo began singing from the very young age of 11 years. In his own words he says: “no one never know where his full potential is but the love for music grew when I started at high school and joined the church choir. Therefore growing up in a choral dominated church and society drove me to really love music.”

Church & Ministry life:
Tshepo grew up at St Charles Lwanga Roman Catholic Church in Kimberley where he was baptised and confirmed. He started his schooling at a Roman Catholic crèche until St Boniface High School (CBC). He was very active at church and school and even became the conductor of the school choir and the church choir at a very young age. In 2005 he joined God’s Parliament Christian Centre, a charismatic ministry based in Pretoria where he was ordained as a pastor.

Music life:
Tshepo came to Pretoria to further his studies in BSc Marketing at Pretoria Technikon and there he joined the Pretoria Technikon choir. Thereafter he joined Gauteng Choristers and that is where he receive an opportunity with the choir to perform overseas as part of the Opera Chorus. Later he was on first season of the reality show called 'Clash Of The Choirs Season 1' under the guidance of Mr Sipho “Hotstix” Mabuse.

Currently Tshepo is doing a Contemporary Gospel album flavoured and marinated with classical tunes. Pastor T, as he is known, says that his focus is to do full-time music ministry, focusing both on young and older generations.
