Truebhantu

Tru Bantu Tribe was created in 2003. It is made up of Whatmore Muchuwe the song writer, lead vocalist and mbira player. Drummer and backing vocalist Nigel Madzinga. Bassist Takudzwa Mhindu. They define their music as Afro-jazz in Mbira Blues.

The band is based in Glenview 1 Harare, Zimbabwe. They have two recorded albums and more than five singles as well as a record featuring Zimbabwe renowned artist Leonard Zhakata. Their music is a reflection of cultural pride and identity, the compositions revolve around the mbira instrument.
