Bio

Trix is a musician from Malawi. His music is defined along rap and hip-hop genres. He is part of a rap group, Militainment which he heads and it features artists Macquan, Oqsis, D-O-Dub, Slim and himself. His interest in rap began when he was 13. After completing high school, he decided to take music as a career. It didn't take time for him to establish himself as one of the country's top hip-hop acts.

In 2008, he did a collaboration with a local rapper called D-O-Dub on a remix of Lil' Wayne's song called ‘A Millie’. The song earned them a mark in the country's music urban scene. The song was followed by ‘Ndine Wamatama’ and ‘L-City Swag’ tracks. The later featured Oasis, Rap Mentor and Crew Mate. In 2009, he took a break from rapping and began focusing on a different business.

Shortly afterwards, he made a come back with another song called ‘Amazing’. The song reportedly became the fastest and highest downloaded track. This was followed by a track known as ‘What You Want’ which featured Oasis. In 2011, he announced that he was back for good. The announcement saw him doing a collaboration with a number of rappers. He featured in the ‘Baseline Mixdown’ (2011) on a track called ‘265 All Day’ together with Sonye, Slim and Harry B.

In April 2012, he released his debut mixtape called ‘Premonition’. The mixtape had an appearance from a handful of artists namely Trappa, Slim, Macquan, D-O-Dub and Lilia.
