Thokozani Langa
Bio
Langa signed with Bula Music in 2004 and later released his third studio album, I-Protection Order, in 2011. His rise in the industry was supported by national radio exposure and appearances on the traditional music program Ezodumo. He went on to earn SAMA nominations for two of his earlier albums, Ipeni Nephepha (2005) for Best Maskandi Album and Lishonil’ Ilanga (2006) for Best Mbaqanga Album, competing alongside major acts such as The Soul Brothers and Bhekumuzi Luthuli.
Langa was also known for his long-running musical rivalry with fellow Maskandi artist Bhekumuzi Luthuli. Their feud inspired his 2007 album Phuma Kimi, which went on to win the SATMA Award for Best Male Artist. In 2020, Langa cemented his legacy further by winning the SAMA Award for Best Maskandi Album.
