Bio
Thato Tladi is a singer, songwriter, guitarist and all-round creative from Botswana — originally from Palapye.
He recognized his musical talent early (he mentions discovering it during Sunday School) and has been involved in music for several years (collaborations and live performances since as early as 2018), though his first official release as an independent recording artist came on 24 January 2023 with the single Location.
He’s described as versatile: capable of singing, songwriting, playing guitar, and comfortable working in different genres.
Career Highlights & Music
One of his breakthrough singles is Wena a love-song that has gained significant popularity.
He has collaborated with various well-known artists in Botswana, including (among others) Sereetsi & The Natives, A.T.I, Sul‑Q, Sir Diamond‑Int, and B.O 6eatz.
Aside from studio releases, he’s been active on the live-music scene: even before his “official” recording debut, he earned gigs in and around Botswana (e.g. Gaborone) starting from 2018.
In 2023 he was nominated for the Yarona FM Music Awards (YAMAs) under “Best Dance Single” for a track titled Nkatumele an early sign of recognition.

He aims to deliver music that resonates emotionally love songs, soulful tunes, songs for dancing and good vibes. Wena in particular reflects his love for romantic, heartfelt music.
He considers being recognized not just by awards or money, but by making a positive impact reaching listeners, inspiring love or emotion, or making memories through live events.
Genre-wise he does not confine himself he’s comfortable blending Afro-pop, soulful melodies, house or Amapiano influences, and more.
