Tanja Storm

Tanja Storm is a South African singer-songwriter, performer, and musical director with over two decades of experience in the music industry – built entirely from the ground up, shaped by perseverance, passion, and an unshakable love for music.
Born in Cape Town and later relocated to Mossel Bay on the scenic Garden Route, Tanja began carving her path, determined to bring something bolder to the stage.
While still in school, she formed her first band. Tanja combined her background in music and dance to build her own vibrant performance career. Over time, she established a successful cover band and performed across festivals, weddings, gala events, wine tastings and theatre, often handling both the creative and logistical sides of every show.
Driven by a deep love for rock and blues, she began writing and recording original music in both Afrikaans and English. Her songs have received national and international airplay, and her 2019 album Ek is Oppad marked a breakthrough moment—garnering widespread media attention from Huisgenoot, Rooi Rose, Vrouekeur, and others.
Just as her career hit a major high point, the Covid-19 pandemic paused everything—but she remained creatively active through online performances, new collaborations, and a series of independent releases.
Throughout her career, she has performed alongside respected artists like Duncan Faure (Rabbitt), Anton Goosen, Mel Botes, Heather Waters, Gaston Lehman, Simon Orange (Blues Broers), and Albert Meintjes.
As a musical director, she is best known for the Eva Cassidy Tribute Show, a production that has received outstanding reviews and ratings from audiences and venues across the country. Her tribute shows, including Rockolution, have toured extensively through South Africa, blending heartfelt storytelling with artistic precision.
Her latest venture is HORISON—a contemporary duo launched in 2024, offering a fresh and expressive musical direction that continues to evolve.
