Tamyris Moiane
Bio
Tamyris Valéria Sérgio Moiane was born on October 27, 2006 in Maputo, Mozambique and is a singer and songwriter. She performs music in genres such as kizomba, zouk and R&B, and her work has connected with audiences across Mozambique and other Portuguese‑speaking countries. She began singing at about ten years old in church and later participated in a reality show for young performers, which helped launch her musical career.
Her first recorded song was “Amizades Verdadeiras,” and she followed this with other releases, including collaborations with Mozambican artists. Her singles like “Vem” have attracted millions of views online, and she has been recognised with awards such as Best Female Artist at the MyMuze Awards 2024.
Tamyris has also released extended works and worked with producers and agencies that helped shape her early career. Her music often explores themes of love, resilience and personal growth, and she is regarded as one of the most promising young voices in contemporary Mozambican music.
