Takie Ndou

Takie Ndou was born and raised in small village called venda at limpopo South Africa. He was raised by Christian parents, who were beacons at church. His love for music grew deeper when his father passed on, at a tender age of fifteen, therefore, music became a way of expressing his grief for his late father. 

Ndou's singing talent was discovered by his pastor, who pushed him to join the praise and worship team. The congregation was pleased with his sepharic voice. 

He studied IT, but could not ignore his passion for music. In 2004, he quit his job and pursued music. That year, his career in music started, he released his first album called Masimdumuse, which he sold 15000 DVDs by promoting it by singing on the streets. Since then, he's been making successful albums, which have won him Awards.

The Psalmist is his most successful album, it won five awards last year: album of the year in the Metro Awards, artist of the year, song of the year and best album of the year in Ingoma Awards, and best collaboration at the Crown Gospel Awards.  

Ndou is currently based in Johannesburg where he is a full time gospel artist. He has performed in South Africa's biggest shows like,  Spirit of praise, Macufe Festival, Bold Music Shows, Gospel Gold Tour and also toured countries like Botswana, Lesotho, USA,Tobago, Rwanda. Making him one of a few international Gospel musicians in South Africa.
