Formerly performing as Daddy Longstem, Ta Longz represents an evolution rooted in authenticity, growth, and cultural Relevance. Ta Longz’s music is rooted in storytelling, introspection, and street-level realism.

His sound blends classic hip-hop foundations with modern alternative production, focusing on lyrical depth, identity, and lived experience. Ta Longz delivers high-energy, lyric-focused performances with a strong connection to the audience. His stage presence translates effectively from intimate cyphers to large festival stages.

A founding member of Guerilla King Music (GKM), Ta Longz emerged alongside artists such as Thomas Hazey, Daev Martian, and A$AP Shembe, contributing to the rise of South Africa’s independent hip-hop movement.

His career has since expanded across major stages and respected media platforms. Ta Longz has performed at leading festivals including Oppikoppi, Back to the City, and 420 D-Day Festival. His music and visuals have aired on MTV Base and Trace TV, with radio features on Metro FM and YFM.

He was crowned YFM Cypher King during a season hosted by OG Samke, solidifying his reputation as a formidable lyricist. He has collaborated with artists including Stogie T, Tswyza, Speeka, Sizi, and DJ Zan-D, with whom he released a collaborative album. Ta Longz also co-founded the duo The Us alongside Marley Bloo, exploring alternative and experimental hip-hop. Beyond recorded music, Ta Longz is the founder of New World Order (NWO) Cyphers, a platform dedicated to lyrical excellence and the development of emerging hip-hop talent. NWO Cyphers Episode 1 has surpassed 5,000 organic views without paid promotion.
