Stephanie Latulipe

Bio

Stephanie Latulipe is a cultural events and exhibition coordinator from Seychelles with over six years of experience in curating, organizing, and promoting artistic and tourism-related projects. Her work reflects a deep commitment to nurturing the creative economy of Seychelles and positioning the islands within the broader landscape of global art and culture.

After completing her studies in Marketing and Sales in Florence, Italy, Stephanie returned to Seychelles inspired by the role that creativity and culture play in community development and national identity. She has since dedicated her career to building bridges between art, heritage, and tourism, creating opportunities for artists, artisans, and creative professionals to showcase their work locally and internationally.

Over the years, Stephanie has coordinated numerous art exhibitions and cross-cultural initiatives, including collaborations with Ghanaian artists that celebrated Africa’s vibrant artistic traditions and their connection to Creole identity. Her engagement with Venice’s international art scene, including participation in projects linked to the Venice Biennale, has broadened her curatorial perspective and inspired her to expand Seychelles’ presence on the global cultural map.

Currently, Stephanie plays an active role in developing the creative sector in Seychelles, advocating for stronger institutional support, professional training, and sustainable collaboration among artists, designers, and cultural entrepreneurs. She believes that the creative industries — from fine arts and design to performing arts and crafts — are vital pillars of the national economy and essential to preserving Seychelles’ cultural heritage.

Her current focus includes coordinating cross-cultural exhibitions across African countries, aimed at fostering artistic exchange and building lasting networks between Seychelles and the wider African continent. These collaborations highlight shared cultural identities and encourage dialogue through art, innovation, and community participation.

Stephanie’s mission is to strengthen the visibility of Seychellois art on the international stage and to build a dynamic creative ecosystem that nurtures both emerging and established talents. Through her cross-regional collaborations, community engagement, and dedication to cultural advocacy, she continues to pave the way for a more connected, creative, and empowered Seychelles.
