Bio

STEP Q was formed on the 25th September 2002, in the capital city of the Eastern Province Kono, in Sierra Leone by Foday Kamara (Step G) and Mohamed Koroma (Q D). In 2004, they recorded their first single titled, 'Talk about' at Studio J Music in Freetown. In 2005, the group was introduced to the record label Forensic Records by a Ghanaian film editor named Lebeneh Indoze.

Their first album with Forensic Records was recorded in 2005 under the management of Mr Daniel Sesay 'Dutch Green'. Step Q left Forensic Records and signed with Rock Our City Entertainment (R.O.C Records) under the management of Mr Aloysius Wai, DJ Rocky. In 2006, they released their second album titled Diamond Queen. The album was nominated for the best Zouk in the 2006 CSA Awards and won them the Bodda UK Civic Awards a year later in 2007.

They released their third album, titled Princess, under the management of R.O.C Records. This album was also critically acclaimed like Diamond Queen.

In 2010, the group recorded their fourth album titled Actor to similar success. Step Q has toured the whole of Sierra Leone and hope to have international tours in the future.
