
Open call: Fak’ugesi Awards 2025 for African creatives
African creatives in the digital creative space are invited to submit calls for the 2025 edition of Fak’ugesi Awards.
- The application deadline is before 15 July.
The call is designed for African creatives who are pushing boundaries in music, animation, gaming, XR, digital arts, , or design. The Fak’ugesi Awards are looking for the boldest, brightest, and most innovative talents across the continent.
Awards categories are as follows:
- Cross-sector music: Compositions linked to animation, video games, immersive media, digital art, and design.
- Animation: Short films, feature length, title animations, student animations, teasers & trailers.
- Video games: Mobile, desktop, demo and student games.
- Immersive (XR/AR): AR, VR & Student
- Digital Arts: Digital film, photography and digi-manipulation, performance with digital components. screen-based digital art.
- Design: Industrial design, architecture and fashion.
Interested creatives should apply here before 15 July.
