Setshaba Phalane, professionally known as SpaceSaveLogic — also affectionately dubbed the Mamelodi Michael Jackson — is a Gold-Certified Producer, visionary artist, and creative storyteller from Mamelodi, Pretoria.His journey began in 2013, at just 13 years old, driven by an unshakable love for music and storytelling. By 2019, after years of self-teaching and mastering FL Studio, he had already released two fully self-produced projects — SpaceGod (2015) and SpaceGod 2 (2019) — the latter featuring standout collaborations with 25K, TTGO, and Deeps (Ganja Beats).
In 2021, his rising influence earned him a feature on DJ Sabby’s “Next Up” album, and he co-produced “Trap Jumpin” alongside Zoocci Coke Dope for 25K’s debut album, Pheli Makaveli — a track that would go on to be certified Gold, officially marking SpaceSaveLogic as a Gold-Certified Producer and one of Mamelodi’s most important musical exports.
By 2023, he paid tribute to the late Tumelo Vilakazi (Yamilo Beatz) with SpaceGod 3, an emotional project featuring songs like “Tsako Pitori” and “Tsodiyo” ft. Ndukuman. His performances have lit up stages across South Africa, from HomeComing Africa to Dihno Café, The Good Luck Bar, and Cofi Brooklyn, while his sound and story have been spotlighted by Hype Magazine, SlikourOnLife, Zkhiphani, YOTV, and The Morning Show.
His music has received national radio airplay across YFM, TUKS FM, Ukhozi FM, and Massiv Metro, cementing his reach across the country’s sonic landscape.
In 2025, under B U Entertainment, SpaceSaveLogic released “Money Talks” ft. Roman Bishop — a self-produced single exploring the tension between money, ambition, and self-worth. The record reaffirms his reputation as not just a beatmaker, but a storyteller, a visionary, and a true reflection of the Mamelodi hustle — representing township dreams on a global stage
