Somto Justin Okumaso, known professionally as Sommy DMG, is a Nigerian artist born on June 22, in Lagos. Originally from Delta State, he blends his diverse cultural influences with a fresh, contemporary sound.
Growing up in Lagos, Sommy DMG was drawn to music from an early age, inspired by the likes of Koffee, Burna Boy, Rema, Omah lay, Wizkid, Tems& variations artists. His passion for storytelling and rhythm eventually led him to pursue a career in music, with his debut single “Way Too High” marking his official entry into the industry.
While still in the early stages of his career, Sommy DMG is dedicated to refining his artistry and carving out his space in the Nigerian music scene. With a distinct style and a drive for excellence, he is an artist to watch as he continues to evolve and create.
