SHANKY RADICS

Shanky Radics is a distinguished Kenyan Afro-Pop musician, cultural ambassador, and philanthropist based in Nairobi. A pioneer of the "new millennium" generation of Kenyan music, he was honoured with the Golden Mic Award for his foundational role in the industry. With a career spanning over two decades, he has toured extensively across East and Central Africa and currently serves as the Director of the Uzalendo Festival Tour, an initiative promoting the African creative economy and global cultural exchange.

Renowned for his humanitarian heart, Shanky has spearheaded vital initiatives such as Kick Malaria Out and the Shanky Radics Foundation, which supports underprivileged communities in Kangemi. His commitment to national unity was most evident during the 2007-2008 post-election period, where he hosted nationwide peace concerts. More recently, his status as a national treasure was reaffirmed when he headlined the 62nd Jamhuri Day Celebrations at Nyayo National Stadium on 12 December 2025, following an invitation to the State House.

Throughout his prolific career, Shanky has collaborated with icons like Dr Jose Chameleone and performed alongside international stars including Sean Paul, P-Square, and Alaine. His signature "Kapuka" style remains a blueprint for the younger generation. Having recently completed his latest album, The Voice of Africa, Shanky continues to use his platform to advocate for music diplomacy, social justice, and the empowerment of Kenya’s youth.
