Shadow De DJ

Sphiwe Dube, professionally known as Shadow de DJ, is a rising Amapiano DJ and compiler from Soweto’s vibrant Diepkloof Zone 2. Celebrated for his exclusive compilations and the acclaimed Perc & Jaiv Series, Shadow de DJ continues to carve out his own lane within the rapidly evolving Amapiano landscape.

Growing up in Diepkloof, he was deeply influenced by local greats such as Djy KZO, Cheezie Stayela, Fiso El Musica, and Mactonic, whose sound and dedication inspired his own artistic journey. In 2019, when he compiled his very first mixtape, he realised his undeniable passion for music and committed himself to turning that passion into a lifelong dream.

As an upcoming DJ, Shadow de DJ made one of his earliest and most notable appearances at The Establishment, a well-known entertainment venue in Soweto formerly located in Diepkloof Square Zone 3. He also earned a spot as a resident DJ at the popular local venue Club C, further grounding his presence within his community’s nightlife scene.

Beyond the decks, Sphiwe is a multi-talented creative. He is admired for his impressive dancing skills and grew up as an avid soccer player, representing Berries United as a centre-back defender.
