Bio
Thula Kekana was born 3 April 1956 in Zebediela, Limpopo South Africa, he passed on 25 March 2015, he was best known as Senyaka, born to a political activist father Moses Kekana, of the PAC. Senyaka chose music and in the 1980’s he rose to fame with the release of his single “go away” Senyaka was South Africa’s first released rap performer a strange music genre in the times, Senyaka blazed a trail fusing Hip hop, a new emerging genre of kwaito with Bubblegum the prevalent genre at that time. In 1993 Senyaka released his first Studio album “Magents”. Senyaka went on to act, starring in the comedy “Moruti Wa Tsotsi” he passed on with a steady legacy of having released the first hip hop or rap song in South Africa.
