Sebaga Rabantheng is a young Motswana female music composer, event curator, performing artist and teacher - The embodiment of Great Musicianship.
A musician hungry for growth and excellence, Sebaga continues to study Music with The Trinity College Music School of London through Kingdom Arts Academy. In 2022 she was selected as part of the American Music Abroad virtual tutorials to further her contribution to the world of music from an informed, enlightened academic point. This successfully culminated in a trip to Cleveland ,Ohio and Sebaga remains an active member of the international cohort of musicians dedicated to artistic diplomacy to bring unity to the world through music.
Sebaga Rabantheng, referred to as "Sebaga" on stage - is a hard working and talented performing artist who is rapidly making a mark in the industry through her skillful playing the saxophone. A masterful performer consistently displaying her true artistic jazz ’soul. Yet even though her primary discipline of music is Jazz, she frequently blends her saxophone skills with various artists across genres including jamming to live House DJ performances.
Her assertive delivery and rhythmic drive on jazzy scales led to performances at the Langnau Jazz Nights in Switzerland alongside BOSJE Junior band ,Bhudaza, Sereetsi and The Natives and Samantha Mogwe while also lending her artistic fluency to music greats like Mpho Sebina and FME DJs, DJ Fresh and Ms Abbey in published records that have topped charts locally and beyond. Sebaga has also showcased her musicianship jamming to live house music alongside the likes Dj Fresh, DJ Jembe Soul, to leave revelers totally mesmirized.
Sebaga's rich execution with the saxophone has big brands like DeBeers, Mascom, ABSA,Standard Chartered Bank,MYSC,gravitating towards her performance at their corporate events, both small and large scale.
“Her love and fascinating approach to music has led this vibrant enigma to tell her narrative via what she calls Kgang Tsa Pelo. A live performance in which she guides us through the voyage. Sebaga set out in 2022, at the age of 24, after being in the music industry locally and internationally from the age of 17, to finally capture her own emotional journey through song with the publication of her debut single " Fola Pelo.”
She is a teacher aid at kingdom arts academy and volunteers at The BOSJE BIG BANDS IN BOTSWANA sponsored by the U. S Embassy as she continues to hone her skills and lends her ear to both upcoming and established musicians.
Sebaga is intentional about promoting artistic brilliance among Batswana and beyond. Locally, via her Personal Events and Deliveries business, Sebaga is altering the appearance and feel of offering love on special occasions like as birthdays, funerals, proposals, and Valentine's Day, earning her the nickname "Mosadi wa Porompeta," which translates to "The Woman of the Saxophone."
