Sibusiso Ntshangase, professionally known as S’bu, is a celebrated South African kwaito artist whose career has left a lasting mark on the country’s vibrant music scene. He first emerged on the national stage as part of the kwaito group Mashamplani, alongside Mdu, Magesh, and Pro Ngubane. Their album Heykop quickly established the young artists as serious contenders in the kwaito genre.
Branching out as a solo artist, S’bu made a significant impact with his breakout hit Amalawyer, signaling to the kwaito community that he was a formidable creative force. He later became associated with the broader TKZee family, further cementing his place in the genre. Over the years, S’bu has enjoyed a long and successful career, consistently contributing to the growth and evolution of kwaito, South Africa’s beloved indigenous music style, while maintaining his signature sound and authentic storytelling.
