SamCooper
Bio
Gadaffi Kgampha Samuel Ngwetjana also known as SamCooper (The Voice) is a Pretoria-based, (3 August 2000) Polokwane-born Hip-Hop artist who creates music rooted deeply in the human experience. Refusing to be boxed into sub-genres, his sound is flexible, limitless, and entirely his own.
His musical awakening happened when he first heard Tupac Shakur’s iconic track "Dear Mama." The song felt so intensely personal that it felt as though he had written it himself. Having struggled with self-expression during his youth, SamCooper initially turned to sports to channel his internal energy. However, it was the discovery of poetry which naturally evolved into rap that permanently shifted his trajectory.
SamCooper’s creative philosophy relies on authentic living. He does not write fiction; every lyric comes from a pure, lived experience, making his music a powerful mirror for his listeners. His artistic growth took a monumental leap forward upon aligning with visionary producer Rillo Beats, sparking a collaborative partnership that continues to shape his evolving sound.
