Ryda

Ryda is a Gambian hip-hop and rap artist. He was born Bubacarr Suso on 5 December 1991. He draws his inspiration from his brother Ja Beatz who is an artist and producer. While a teenager, he used hang around in his brother’s studio, writing his own lyrics, learning how to sing on the microphone.

In 2011, he graduated from high school and began recording his maiden single titled ‘One Minute’. The song was released that same year. It was produced by Ja Beatz (DreamCity Music).

In 2015, he released a mixtape titled ‘Zone 4’. The project became one of the hottest and most talked about hip-hop mixtapes in The Gambia in 2015. It earned him a mark in the country’s music scene.
