Russky

Russky is a Zimbabwean hip hop artist, songwriter who grew up in a family of five. He started schooling at the age of six at Tamuka Primary School in Chitungwiza then later moved to South Africa in 2007 with his family. He later attended Saffier Primary school in Cape Town for two years and then went to Florida Secondary School. Motivated by big artists such as Lil Wayne and WIZ Khalifa, he started falling in love with music and started composing songs with Cliff Nyashanu (Clizer). In 2012 he met Xolani Mashazi (Lani) at Florida High and together they started chasing their music dream. In 2012 Russky also joined a rap crew called NOD (Niggaz of Distruction) were he grew the real passion of music and gained confidence, unfortunately the crew separated after 2 years due to misunderstandings. During his last year of high school in 2015 Lani and Russky formed a hip hop crew called ACW (Anticlockwise) which was later joined by Clizer in the same year. ACW has perfomed around Cape Town. Russky is well known mostly for his hit songs ‘She already know’ and ‘Burn Slow’.
